Join us in transforming our Community Sector

We heard you. Over the past three years, you told us about your aspirations, challenges, and vision for a stronger community sector in Te Tauihu. You spoke of the need for better connections, shared resources, and a unified voice. Today, we're excited to announce that your vision is becoming reality through the Te Tauihu Community Development Agency (TTCDA).

Created by and for our community sector, TTCDA exists to support, connect, and amplify the incredible work of the 1,400+ for-purpose organisations across Te Tauihu. We're here to help you "do differently and do better" – not by telling you what to do, but by working alongside you to strengthen our collective impact.

A Historic Moment Approaches

On February 11, 2025, we will mark a significant milestone with the signing of our Kawenata (relationship agreement) at Whakatū Marae. This ceremony represents more than just a formal launch – it's an invitation to be part of a movement that will transform how we work together in Te Tauihu.

The Kawenata embodies our shared commitment to:

- Supporting each other to thrive

- Working collectively to address community challenges

- Creating positive change for generations to come

- Honoring Te Tiriti o Waitangi through authentic partnership

Be Part of the Journey

We invite you to join this transformative journey. Whether you're a small volunteer group or an established organisation, your voice and participation matter. Here's how you can get involved now:

1. Express your interest: Partner in our collective vision by signing the Kawenata – either in person at the ceremony or digitally afterward. REGISTER

2. Connect with Us: Share your ideas about how we can best support your mahi by completing the Strengthening the Sector Survey (closing end January 2025).
